Cystic acne

According to Henry W. Wright

Wright distinguishes cystic acne from ordinary acne, which he links to fear of people and peer pressure. He discusses cystic acne alongside ovarian and breast cysts in relation to the daughter–mother relationship and female identity.

Possible spiritual roots

A serious rupture or deep wound in the mother-daughter relationship.

An unresolved breach in the bond remains, with lack of fellowship or reconciliation.

The conflict may affect femininity and the way a woman receives her identity as female.

Bitterness, anger, and resentment toward the mother reinforce the relational breach.

Spiritual response

Put the relationship with the mother in order before God; forgive; reject bitterness, anger, and resentment; receive one’s femininity, value, and identity in Christ; pray for reconciliation of the heart and healing.
