Leviathan — Renunciation, Binding, and Casting Out in the Name of Jesus — Isaiah Saldivar
Humility, repentance, forgiveness, and direct prayer for deliverance in Isaiah Saldivar’s teaching.
In his teaching “Exposing and Defeating Leviathan — How To Handle The Pride”, Isaiah Saldivar connects deliverance from Leviathan with humility, repentance, and forgiveness. He then leads a prayer in which he directly binds this spirit and commands it to leave people in the name of Jesus.
He identifies five elements in overcoming its influence: the Word of God, humility, repentance, prayer, and forgiveness. He emphasizes the need to accept correction, serve others, and promptly acknowledge one’s own sin. He contrasts this with self-justification, self-exaltation, and persistent unforgiveness.
Before the prayer, he encourages listeners to humble themselves before God, forgive those who have wronged them, and renounce Leviathan. He does not prescribe a single formula to repeat. He tells them to reject its influence in their own words and declare that it has no place in their lives.
He then proceeds to bind and cast out the spirit directly:
“We bind you, Leviathan […] we command you to leave these people.”
Saldivar stresses that his own name has no power—he acts in the name of Jesus. He commands the spirit to release people and leave, while also thanking God for His power and work.
According to Saldivar, deliverance includes repentance, forgiveness, and humbling oneself before God, as well as binding Leviathan and commanding it to leave in the name of Jesus.
