Leviathan — Standing Against Accusation and Division — Jennifer LeClaire

Humility, the shield of faith, and prayer for those who cause harm in Jennifer LeClaire’s teaching.

Jennifer LeClaire associates Leviathan’s activity with the distortion of truth, pride, and the breakdown of relationships. She describes situations in which people’s words take on a different meaning, misunderstandings turn into accusations, and resentment begins to destroy trust. In her teaching, such an attack may target a family, a church community, or people praying and serving together. The response is to remain grounded in truth and humility and to reject bitterness, suspicion, and division.

Describing repeated attacks on her own ministry, LeClaire recounts turning to God for guidance on how to respond. She says she was instructed to entrust Him with dealing with the enemy and to pray for the people spreading slander. In this teaching, she advises against directly confronting Leviathan as a principality.

Prayer for those who cause harm has a particular place in this approach. LeClaire connects it with Jesus’ command to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. In her view, this attitude helps us remain humble and protects us from falling into the very pride we are trying to resist. Entrusting the matter to God should go hand in hand with listening to His guidance and obeying Him.

In her teaching on accusations, LeClaire points to the shield of faith in Ephesians 6:16. She describes pressure that comes both through other people’s words and through persistent thoughts of condemnation. She encourages believers to counter these with the truth of the gospel: Romans 8:1 reminds us that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ, while 2 Corinthians 10:5 speaks of taking thoughts captive to obey Christ.

She distinguishes conviction of sin, which leads to repentance and the cross, from accusation that perpetuates shame. The response is to reject false condemnation rather than continually dwell on it. When an accusation comes through another person, she encourages believers not to respond with a personal attack.

In practice, the prayer she recommends includes entrusting the matter to God, seeking His guidance, interceding for those who cause harm, and countering accusations with the truth of God’s Word. She also directs readers to her prayer recordings: “Prayers to Crush the Heads of Leviathan” and “Tearing Down Leviathan’s Hidden Accusations”.
